The Position
Salary Range $140,436 to $170,712 DOQ. Nestled in the heart of San Bernardino County, the City of Redlands is called the “Jewel of the Inland Empire.” Redlands is a “big town” with a “small town” feel renowned for its family friendly environment where residents and visitors can enjoy its 14 public parks or shop at the boutiques along the tree-lined State Street. Under general direction from the City Manager, the Municipal Utilities and Engineering Director will oversee the activities of the Municipal Utilities and Engineering Department, including administration, engineering, water production, treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and laboratory analysis. Requires the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field (master’s degree desirable) and ten years of increasingly responsible civil engineering experience in the administration of municipal utility operations, including five years in a public agency and three years of supervisory experience.
